Well, you are cheated if that's the case. Trader Joe's has the best plants -- gorgeous begonias and orchids and sweet mini-roses and other little plants, and at really reasonable prices.

Safeway has nice mini-roses too, and this year I got some gorgeous Clematis there -- all potted up and blooming for Mother's Day.

The Home Depots and Lowe's here carry a wide variety of roses -- not as wide as before, though. I haven't seen any J&P roses at Home Depot for a couple of years.

The best nurseries of all were in the Target stores, but they've been phasing them out in recent years to make room for groceries.
