Thanks Susie, actually I am more impressed. Putting three together was a great idea! Don't worry about the hostas right now but when they are dormant you can slice into them with a spade and just dig up half and drop the other half somewhere else. I have always done mine when they are dormant, sometimes I dig up the whole thing and slice it four ways (like a cabbage) they come right back up in spring and do not even know that you mutilated them. Rolling on the floor laughing
