I'm glad we still have a leader, even if not officially.

Due to the fall rains, I'm still shredding pastures - cutting the weeds off them to expose the recovering grass. I am using herbicide on the horse paddocks behind the barn that have suddenly grown up in pigweed as they also have been attacked by army worms, so there is no visible grass in spots. I finished cleaning up the winter garden section I plan to plant; the pigs did most of the job, but they don't like peppers or what we cal bin Laden weed. It is late to be starting the winter garden, but it has stayed so warm it will be iffy for some of the seeds and started plants. And then there is an electrical black-out in part of the barn that needs investigating...
