Sounds like a good plan! I'm always surprised at how insignificant the foliage really is. It is easy to mistake it for grass (or pull it up along with the grass that keeps creeping into that bed). A container would help with that problem! I keep intending to buy more fritillaria, because I enjoy them so much when they bloom!)
