Christine, life's too short for me to sort Solidagos, that's for sure. LOVE your pic, couldn't be more perfect if arranged by a pro florist. Don't those 2 make excellent companions!? You're right, there was a lull for a few weeks, then some rain, and POW, a whole new crop of wild fall beauties.
