Cinda: I ended up removing what rhizomes I could find from the soil, cut the top off of the main plant and trans-planted it all into a 10 gal aquarium with fresh potting medium. The plant (s) disappeared and I didn't know if they had just gone dormant or died so I stuck the terrarium (minus the lid) out on the back screened porch where it's shady and very humid. I noticed awhile back that it had begun sprouting again. I'll go out and take a picture ... be right back.

Ok, here it is; looking down into the terrarium; not a favorite of mine because I don't have the time and patience to give it the proper care/conditions it requires, but the leaves are kinda pretty:
~ I'm an old gal who still loves playing in the dirt!
~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot!
