Cheryl, you hit it right on the nose with your special lilies, priceless! I'm sure other folks here feel the same way about a flower they received from someone special. I especially like the pink daylily. It reminds me of one that I have called 'Becky Lynn' that was introduced in 1977.

I have close to 200 daylilies, 182 of them names. But the one that I am happiest about is the one I got this year from my cousin Mary Alice. I'm almost sure it is a species, not fancy but a very pretty yellow. I did get to see one in bloom before the end of its season and it smells wonderful! Wish I had taken a picture of it before the season ended.

What makes it so special is that it was at my Aunt Alice's house. Aunt Alice died last October 9th and my cousin Mary Alice moved into the homeplace this summer. As she was cleaning up the place, she dug up these yellow daylilies and said that if anybody wanted any to take them. My Mom and Aunt Alice were very close sisters, so Mom and I both took some. I will always think of this daylily as Aunt Alice's and will think of her each time I see it, whether it is in bloom or out!

Can't wait to see it in bloom next year!
May all your weeds be wildflowers. ~Author Unknown
