Thanks, Doris and Jim. I'll need to bring them indoors tomorrow. Our nights are getting too cool and I don't want them to start going dormant. I will not overwater them. Note to self. The year before last, I kept mine out too late and they got rained on. I brought them in and sat a couple in a closet to go dormant, (not knowing any better) and they rotted. I should have waited until they dried out first.
Last winter I kept a couple of sitting on my unused fireplace --dormant. I wanted to keep an eye on them. I didn't give them one drop of water, and they overwintered just fine. I placed my others, including seedlings in front of the bay window in my LR and some kept their leaves. I should not have, but I watered all of them lightly, including the leafless ones. Then someone made a comment about not watering DRs when no leaves are present. Another lesson learned in time. I am better prepared this year, thanks to all of you and I'm looking forward to some blooms this winter.
