I haven't done anything special to mine, and have seen blooms the last couple of years. My first Clivia is a typical orange one, given to me as a "pup" from a friend's plant. It took a year to get big enough and bloomed the next. This yellow one was from a sale wrack last year and bloomed early this spring. I also withhold water through winter, gave them a drink about once a month. In spring I move them outside to the shady deck where they receive regular watering, and fertilize them from time to time through the growing season.

Jan, do folks grow them in the ground where you are? If they're hardy there, perhaps try one or two in the ground and see if that makes the difference. They are gorgeous when they can increase into large clumps.
"...and don't think the garden loses its ecstasy in winter. It's quiet, but the roots are down there riotous." Rumi
