Sorry for the late reply, returned home last evening after being away for a few days.
Thank you everyone! I tip my hat to you. I agree Vickie, leaving a space between divided sections when replanting makes it so much easier to divide later. You still get the benefit of a full clump appearance and many times can take the fork and separate one of the sections from the edge without needing to lift the entire plant for sharing. It's a slightly different approach to "lining out", planting in a circle rather than a line.
I Lovey dubby my garden fork and wouldn't be without it!
