This product is a bayer advanced protect & feed.I got it last year to treat my plants that spend so much time outside before i bring them in.I only use it on plants that don't flower or have any kind of berry or fruit because it is a systemic insecticide.I know a lot of people don't like systemic insecticides and there's a lot of controversy over it but as with anything i believe used correctly and with some common sense the negative things about using it can be avoided.I live in the country & have problems with bugs that can really do a lot of damage to my plants.Last year i used it and i used it wrong,i pour the amount of product it says to use into a gallon of water. Then i realized after reading the label again that's not what it means.I have the label in front of me.
This is what it says.

"HOW MUCH TO APPLY TO CONTAINERIZED PLANTS:
container size Amount of Product Needed
1 gallon 1 teaspoon
2 gallon 2 teaspoons
3 gallon 1 tablespoon
Etc......

Pour the required product into sufficient water to wet the potting soil thoroughly. To help assure that roots absorb the insecticide,do not water to heavily for the first 10 days."

I hope this clears up the what i've been trying to say and doing such a poor job of. Confused I just want to convert gallon pots into pots sized by the inch.
Here's the conversion chart,so by this every 8" pot would require a teaspoon of product.
4"pot= pint (0.5 guarts)
5-6" pot = quart (0.25 gallon)
7-8" pot= 1 gallon
8.5" pot = 2 gallon
10" pot = 3 gallon
12" pot = 5 gallon
14" pot= 7 gallon
16" pot= 10 gallon
18" pot = 15 gallon
24" pot = 25 gallon
30" pot= 30 gal

Maybe i will try it on a couple of extra plants i have,I'm having a hard time with some jade plants and a Diffenbachia i think it's some kind of root mealies or something like that but nothing else has helped. If i kill it it oh well something else is killing it now.

Does this help?? Smiling It does work because i have large plants we use it on that when we bought them they were labeled by the gallon. If you look at lowes some plants are labeled in gallon sizes. Those were easy to treat. The smaller pots have become quit a challenge.
A green thumb comes only as a result of the mistakes you make while learning to see things from the plants point of view!!
