Congrats, Betty! Nothing in my garden is much more exciting than seeing little seeds rear their little sprouts as they poke above the ground or potting soil.
I won my first few daylily seed auctions on LA recently. (I had never heard of this auction before reading about it here on the Daylily Forum ... thanks for the new obsession from other enablers! LOL!) I had received my very first auction seeds in the mail and had the seeds laying out overnight. I was planning to add them to my fridge crisper bin, but got distracted and left them on the counter. The next day, I noticed condensation in the bonus seeds ziploc bag. Strange! On further inspection, I realized that one of the seeds had actually started to germinate right there in the baggie. I guess the change from the seller's refrigerator to my warmer climate and house prompted one of the seeds to germinate. It doesn't get any better than that! All the seeds in that baggie got planted right away! Such a quick germination after receiving them could lend the possibility of blooms in 2014! I can only hope!
