Butterflies
Frostweed,
I am in SW Missouri, and my milkweed hardly ever is up in time for the monarchs coming north out of Mexico. I am going to try this next summer, it is a great idea!
I have taken cuttings this year. I saw somewhere that someone did this, and by springtime, they were rooted enough to stick in the ground early spring. But I think I didn't take them soon enough, they have already turned brown. I might of let them get a good chill before I cut them and brought them in. I've already tossed them.
I have an issue dealing with houseplants in the winter. I have 3 cats that want to chew, scratch and eat anything I might bring in. But, I could get some milkweed going in pots, and hopefully they would survive in my garage too.... definitely worth a try.
Thanks for the idea.
