Dear Lynn, a young 17 year old girl at Forest Hill in London was lucky as a 50 ton oak tree crashed through her bedroom. Luckily for her she was downstairs at the time two stories of a solid three story Victorian House demolished on top of them. The whole family is safe and alive. Lots of trees down and leaves everywhere.
Hope Pia is OK, as Kent got hit and especially the coast! Pia does live inland but you are never more than 82 miles from the sea anywhere in the UK! Even in the middle.
Lots of fence damage and now Europe is getting it, hope they are OK.
Hurricane St. Judge meant to be nasty; the combination of wet weather which left the ground soaked and then more driving rain, plus Hurricane forces winds hurt!
The last Hurricane in 1987 did a lot worse and millions of trees were lost!
My mother and father slept through it, and Oliver my wife's tough cat went out in it.
Silly animal!
Regards from us we are safe and sound, Thank God.
Neil.
