Also known as Rose Leaf sage or Rosebud sage. This salvia is the forecaster of approaching freezing weather each year. It blooms right before the first freeze. Ours is in front of the garage under an oak, so we always know the cold weather is finally coming when it begins to bud out. It's still blooming now, even with our 3 or 4 freezes. it's another one that I didn't know would get so tall.
