It was good Sharon! My son-in-law loves to cook but he rarely uses a recipe, so we never know what it will taste like. He went to the store, perused the produce section, and bought what he thought would go into vegetable soup. He cut up the roast, browned it, cut all the veggies and put them in a crock pot. He got some Carl's Seasoning from our other son-in-law and threw some of that in. Then, in a small crock pot, he added some of the soup and added pepperoncinis!! When we got there he asked me to take a look at it. He said it looked like it was missing something because the water was clear. "Shouldn't it be brownish?", he said. I told him I usually add a can or two of diced tomatoes. "Oh! That's what I forgot!" So we added a can of tomato paste and some seasoned salt. It was much better.

Now he does not know much about crock pots and he thought it would be ready to eat around noon. Ha! All the veggies were still rock solid so we ate popcorn and watched the movie "The Heat" and also played Rack-O while we let the crock pots work their magic for another four hours.

We really enjoyed the day.
