Linda, I wear contacts but since I am both near and far sighted, my prescription is for multi-focal lenses, which results in a bit of a compromise. I can work at my desk and also see my computer screen (rather than flipping readers on/off) but far distance vision is then not so crisp. I keep a pair of driving glasses in my car to wear over my contacts to sharpen up my far vision and binoculars near most of my indoor windows to focus in on the birds. It's all workable if a bit convoluted. I've been wearing fairly thick glasses since 4th grade and am used to not seeing as well as others. On the plus side, I am rarely asked to be the designated driver...
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.
