I grew them for years and never gave them extra humidity. And I live in Minnesota with very very dry winter air. I did grow them from seed, though, so they were acclimated from the start. For you, the greenhouse where the plant was grown surly had high humidity. To acclimatize, I would suggest keeping it in an open clear bag for a week or so when you get it, then remove the bag and the plant should do well on its own.
