I just roll up the side of the hoops when we had warm days, but I don't go very far. If it gets windy, our neighbors' garden will be wearing plastic. By Feb., I'm antsy to take the hoops down. So far, so good!
I'm trying to get the plants put away today before it rains. I had just shoved some citrus trees in, when a bid ole swallowtail breezed by me and settled on the Buddha's Hand. Didn't seem concerned with me and laid eggs on most of the citrus trees that I could see. I had my phone, so I took a few pics. Guess I'll be raising caterpillars along with a cat this winter. Seems late for butterflies to lay eggs, doesn't it?
