Chalyse: I have Day Breaker (thanks Zuzu for the spelling correction !) and mine DOES get a "touch" of rust...but only at this particular time of year when the sun pattern changes and that section of my garden doesn't dry out as quickly. The rest of the year it's completely disease free.
Just remember: ANY rose can/will develop certain diseases IF the conditions are right and persist for any length of time...(emphasis on IF) regardless of what you read about a specific rose and it's "resistance to disease(s)". It's definitely "trial and error" when it comes to roses. (Been there...done that...still doing it !)
