Living here in a remote part of the county my home place is surrounded by fields of grains each year. Usually these fields are planted in corn or soy beans, but occasionally we get rye or wheat nearby. This probably does not appeal to most people, but there is something serene, calming and peaceful to be near a field of ripening wheat. And I am even more appreciative of the fragrance of newly baled straw in late June or early July. I like having a few bales on hand for animal bedding and mulching.

I am thankful for a unique banner from dormantsrule! Thumbs up Nice job!
