Glad to hear you are okay Caroline and catching that pipe before it makes an awful mess!

I remember living in Winnipeg, we have to put extra plastic cover inside and outside our windows and the other door we just do not use at all, totally shut with tape. And I just do the same, clear the immediate walkway before the next layer of snow hardens up fast. My pail of salt always by the door. I was thankful our city's power lines are underground, so never a power outage even at more brutal temps.

Stay safe there! Yeah, this weather conditions, better to hunker down and stay as warm as possible. I see bitter wind chill temps there ugh! We used to have outdoor plugs in our car there, once it goes -10C, need to plug the car for the car block heater.
