The herd was coming toward us. We did a bunch of dodging to miss the worst of the fresh manure on the road, it wasn't frozen until we came home. Cow manure on the underside of vehicles is common here, just ask any mechanic! Kathleen, at least horse manure is usually drier than cow.

Minus 15 this morning at 5am. Now has warmed to 0. Tonight will get down to -11 they say. And then it's supposed to warm up. We only have about an inch of snow, drifted around. I hope it kills off the squash bugs that became a problem last summer.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
