The biggest reason is lack of space. Another is that with annuals I like to change it up a bit each year. I mostly end up buying new bedding plants for again lack of space to start seeds, I only do a couple of flats of seeds. There is also a grower in my area that sells at very reasonable prices. The only things that I overwinter are Elephant Ears and Canna.
