The storm was pretty much what we always get a couple times every winter in my area. I was out working in it for 22 hours straight plowing and shoveling. Just break out the Carhartt winter clothes and a good pair of Chippewa boots and go to work. This is New England and that's how we roll.

I gotta say this though caused it ticked me off pretty bad...

When weather like this moves in, BRING YOUR DAMN PETS INSIDE! I have this complete 'dickhead' (pardon the expression, but nothing else quite sums it up for this guy) of a neighbor that had his dog outside chained up for hours during some of the worst cold that came in with the snow. I knocked on his door and explained to him that if I ever saw that again the dog would be mine and I would chain him up in the yard. I can be a pretty convincing fellow in situations like this and he seemed to understand how much I was not joking.

WE can dress correctly for just about any weather out there...but our animals absolutely depend on us to do right by them and anyone that is not willing to do so deserves no better treatment than that which they gave their pets.
