yeah those daylilies are a promiscuous bunch Whistling ... Ida's Magic is listed as 429 kids, and like her pal Ed Brown, is a frilly-edged baby-maker. There are so many daylilies that have at least 150 offspring that is seems downright strange to come across a cultivar that has few to no offspring. I think it is due, in large part, to the ease of hybridizing and registering daylilies. Having tried to cross fuchsia at one point (impossible!), I think I'd faint if I found any that had more than a handful of child plants....

So, its neat to hear about some of the top progenitors of other flowering plants, too ... 95 for iris sounds pretty impressive. Thumbs up
