hello everyone - I found this site a week ago and have been reading and reading!! just love how sharing you all are so I hope you will be tolerant
of a newbie full of questions!! not sure how to put info about zone and such in the corner so I will just share... I live in zone 4 northwest Iowa.
I started collecting daylilies a couple of years ago and I am Addicted!! I found the daylilies produced by Lambertson and LOVE the purples and ruffles!! my question on his beautiful daylilies..can I grow them in zone 4? we have had a stupid cold winter..a few -70 wind chill factor and many -20 actual air temp at night. so can I order from southern growers?? I do not see hybridizing in my future so could some one explain to me
about parenting plants? they seem to be higher $$ and not important to me so I should shy away from them? also seedlings?? some are beautiful!! they are just daylilies with out names and I just buy them because I love the colors?? sorry I have so many questions in my 1st post and if they have been answered already I could not find the answers!! so happy to have found this site and all the info! well.... maybe should not have found L A!! THANKS EVERYONE!!
