Joe, It's just based on getting no seeds from plants that I would expect to get seeds from. All seeds are just sown into my normal potting mix and receive no special treatment.

Lorn, #1 lily in the 1st row and #1 in the 3rd row are fertile both ways.
#3 in row 2 is at least pollen fertile, has not been tested yet for pod fertility.
#3 in row 1 will probably be fertile both ways, as both parents are fertile both ways.
#s 3 and 4 in row 4 and #1 in row 5 will be difficult. They may produce very few seeds when used as the pod parent.
The balance of the seedlings have not been tested.
