Hm, none of my pineapples have that, Anne. I just walked out and checked them.

If it was a disease, you'd think it would continue on all the leaves. It looks like some sort of insect damage to me, like the green layer has been chewed away. Thrips, maybe? They sort of scarify the top layer of the leaf, don't they? In any case if the new leaves are ok, I'd just keep an eye out and carry on. The bugs have moved on to 'greener pastures'.
