Our small dog recently ingested something which caused severe convulsions/seizures. Like any other emergency it could only happen on a Friday night at almost midnight when it is impossible to get help. We struggled through Saturday and Sunday with vomiting and more seizures. By Monday morning we had her to the vet for blood work, urinalysis and a complete exam. The blood work revealed in vet's language 'an assault on her liver' because the enzymes were extremely high. She told us this must have been the result of some kind of ingested poisonous substance. That was Monday, February 17.

To our surprise she prescribed Milk Thistle supplement twice daily along with another herbal supplement called Curcu-Vet SA-50 once a day. I was skeptical at first, but improvement was immediate after the first doses. As I write it is late Thursday and there has been steady improvement with complete remission of the seizures and vomiting. Thanks for these natural supplements and veterinarians who prescribe them! Our Vet is very well informed- and appreciated!
