Those are kikis. Same as prolifs on a daylily. They grow a new plant on an established cane, complete with roots. When the roots get a few inches long you can either carefully pry them off or cut the cane below, and start a new plant. My son's SO got a pot with 2 colors in it, and I want a pink one, so I asked for a kiki. I wont know if I got the pink or another orange one until it blooms. Neither one of the kids are plant people. Hilarious! I'm starting it in Spagnum.
