Photo Contest Winner: 2014 Avid Green Pages Reviewer Garden Ideas: Master Level Garden Sages I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database! I helped plan and beta test the plant database.
When I visited Mount Shasta, I saw signs saying that no one should BRING firewood to the area, they should buy it locally. They said that other regions' firewood might contain insects and insect larvae that were not local and hence more dangerous to the forest there.

What do you think? Serious ecological concern, or just "please spend money locally"?
