This would be interesting to track in the database. I wonder if in other Aroids the pollen dehisces before female anthesis. I've been trying to pollen daub Sauromatum venosum, for practice, but you have to be on your toes to collect the pollen at the right time and then wait for another inflorescence.

In the general Anthurium description CATE notes "...berries exserted when mature:..." which might be a clue confirming no fertilization. Anthurium description.
