Ooo, I already see a handful that will go on my wish list, thanks Mike! I do find that the fans I have growing in dappled shade do not get the dreaded summer dormancy, though you are right that they do bloom less. It is a tricky balance between shrinking-dormancy under full sun, less blooming but better roots and fans in the dappled shade, and a few tiny "just right" areas in the garden. Thumbs up

After Awhile Crocodile is listed as both a dormant and semi-evergreen (hybridizer says semi) which I take to mean that it might perform like a dormant in the north, and a semi in the south? Is it dormant for you?

I think I will seriously be trying to focus on later cultivars this year and next to see how far I can extend the growing season!
