I pruned probably 15 clematis (group 2) this morning. I have been walking by them saying to myself that I need to prune them and had not done it. Seeing your post here reminded me that I must DO it! I hope to finish tomorrow. With the nice weekend and next week's mild temperatures forecasted, everything will really start growing. I think I will use this opportunity to reduce the size of my armandii. I have never pruned it in the 5+ years I have had it, and it has traveled quite a distance on a split rail fence. Then I will wait and see if it needs any additional pruning.
