If I had more letters that I could put in the title, I would have said "Metallic edges" or something like that.
I can always change the forum title to something more clear.
I was trying to describe the metallic gold, silver or green edges that sometimes show on the edges of daylilies. To me, they look like they have glitter on them.
Once at Moldovan's Gardens, I went along with Steve Moldovan when he was "walking seedlings." I spotted a lovely rose self - and it had deep magenta rose metallic glittery edges. I commented to Steve about it. He flagged the plant, but I don't know what became of it. It was the only daylily I have seen with that color metallic edge.
I find this trait extraordinary because I don't know of any other plant of any kind that is capable of showing metallic, shiny effects
