I am artist doing a botanical drawing to be included in a exhibit of plants recorded by David Douglas. At this time of year I am not able to see the plant in bloom. From a combination of dozens of photos and countless sketches, I have been able to describe its growth habit BUT the scale eludes me. I am finding great variations in height (sources state from 1-5") and flower (size 2-5"). When you say the flowers are silver dollar size, is that the whole flower head or one of the multiple individual blossoms??
