Thanks Janet! Yes, there is definitely similarity with the Cassava or Manioc, which is Manihot esculenta, which has only three leaflets, so the Indonesian must be another Manihot sp...

The plant seems to lack the woolly red purplish haired stems and petioles in that link, even the rim of the leaves of mine had red woolly hairs, not seen in my pictures, but I found a very weird looking tiny grasshopper on the leaves which I photographed and there one can see the red hairs on the leaf rims, the leaves of mine also have slight relief between the veins which I lack in Manihot sps. which have smooth leaves. Another thing is that mine had here and there some spikes on it stems.
