Oh my, bad winter isn't the right word for it; I would say it was horrendous. We normally have a few freezes that span over the whole winter and some extremely cold days in there too with the rest of it mildly cold and really warm. I thought last winter was crazy with the cold, warm, cold, warm, freeze, hot, cold, etc. The plants last year really had no idea what to do. But this year I pretty much couldn't get anything done in the garden for 3 months because of the extremely cold temps, freezes, snow/sleet that didn't melt for 3 days and then warm up just to freeze again. We just had a freeze not too long ago, about a week and half ago so this is getting pretty old.

It may not seem bad for other parts of the US but we just are not used to that here at all.
