Crying Toni I wish I could bring you my tractor. We could make quick work of moving that mulch. Thumbs up
Are you mulching on top of your winter mulch? Or did it break down or blow away already? It's surprising how fast it disappears here.
The problem with the satellite channel Weather Nation is, as Weather Channel explains it, they only get updates every 15 minutes, and it looked like the station was unmanned last night. That's exactly what Weather Channel was saying would happen when they were whining about getting booted from our provider. But none of it matters if a storm knocks all satellite power out anyway, does it? Which is what happens every time we get a storm. Oh I miss having cable. My husband was in Ft Hood last night and he had weather channel on, and he said they were airing some dumb fake documentary and weren't even talking about the storms.
Our local forecasters are really good. If they can't interrupt a show, they'll put trailers at the bottom with info specific to neighborhoods, even.
Anywaaaaay, back to roses.......since it's muddy out, I'm thinking maybe just maybe I'll load the dogs in the car and take a road trip to my favorite nursery. The devil on my left shoulder is pushing me pretty hard. The angel on my right is pointing out that I have not planted all the multitudes I have already purchased this year, and since I have not finished all the spring pruning, I don't know how many or few died over the winter. I made a promise of "no new beds" but my loophole is I CAN replace anything in a bed that didn't make it.
I'm wanting Always and Forever, Love & Peace, Tahitian Treasure, Austins Heathcliff and Tranquility. And maybe Henry Fonda or Lavaglut. and either Tuscan Sun or Vavoom. They have Dark Night, which is a russet that's been on my wish list as Garden Director Bartje Miller. That about cleans out my rose budget for the next 5 years. I'll get Raspberry Kiss and Mother of Pearl at another nursery, and then I'm really done. Really.
nodding
I do have to whittle that list down, any suggestions on which to keep or not? Group hug I love them all but I can't have them all, help?
Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.
