Wash off the Neem, Adeniums generally dislike any type of oil. Keep the plant dry for the next two weeks, and then plant in very fluffy potting mix, and keep on the dry side. Should live OK.

In the potted photo, are the stones only on the top of the potting mix? Not good, they trap moisture and gasses such as carbon dioxide. Adeniums are very sensitive to "gas exchange" and must have loose soil so the roots can breathe. What a concept!

Usually glazed ceramic pots should not be used. Put it in a plain clay pot, and put that in the ceramic pot.
