Some evergreens are hardier than you think. Some of the earlier tets hybridized by Munson that are evergreens are a little tender for me but I think a lot of the newer ones have a lot of dormant genetics. Hybridizers are deliberately breeding dormancy in the newer ones so they will be hardy for us here in the north.
