I was given this plant by my 2 year old granddaughter and now that i have gotten it I.D.ed i need help with what to do with it. Whistling

I read that if it's put in to much sun the leaves will move to one side of the plant away from the sun. This can cause leaves to drop or become side heavy.I believe this or something like this has happened, it is leaning to one side & is leaf bare on one side. Most pictures of this plant show it as a compact plant.Mine has gotten a little leggy which may also be why it's leaning.I need to repot it,can i pot it a little deeper to help hold it up? I can use something small to prop it up.
What should it be planted in and how much water does it like?

I am sorry for all the questions but i haven't found much more than basic info on the plant nothing about how to care/grow this plant. Confused Shrug!

I really don't want to loose it or i will have to go buy a replacement so Lily (my GD) won't know i killed it.

1 leaf has propagated in the pot, i will put it in something smaller & see what happens. Lovey dubby
A green thumb comes only as a result of the mistakes you make while learning to see things from the plants point of view!!
