So sorry about your loss. I am a newbie to orchids, and just recently learned of this beautiful plant when I attended my 1st orchid show this last month. I guess that I was quite fortunate to have found this one from the grower for $15.00.
At the time I thought it was a bit pricey, but after reading what you said about the cutting on Ebay...I'm feeling pretty good about this one...Maybe it was a deal after all!
And you are so right...We all need to remember to appreciate what we have...
