Here is a photo of my dasyphyllum 'Major'. It really does seem to take time and patience for these sedum to get going. I've had mine for several years and this is what it looks like now.
Truth is, they have been moved several times. Wonder if that is the reason it took forever for them to make something noticeable? Whistling
I also got mine in the summer, and I put them in full sun. I now know they don't like full sun here.
