Susan, I use an 'organic alfalfa meal', not the pellets in my garden. I buy it in 50 LB bags. I noticed a tremendous difference in my plants last summer. Plants that had never bloomed before, bloomed for me last year. Growth was vigorous, and flowers were bright and gorgeous. I would also mention that we had a tremendous amount of rain in May and June of last year which spurred growth.
