That's crazy!! They must have no idea how many people move to Michigan and put up with the sub-zero weather so they can enjoy a low cost of living and be able to have enough land to grow their own food and have chickens, etc. This is the American dream in the south, I am sorry to hear they are ruining it for people. I thought they wanted people to move there. I would love to be able to afford an acre of land and grow my own but it's not happening in the city. I will grow a few, maybe some in buckets but nothing like having your own small farm. We are not allowed to have or own a wild animal in the city. Hard to believe they can tell you that you cannot have a garden or chickens on your own land. That is the whole reason people move there and Michigan just dug their own grave as far as attracting people to the state, but there are other states and people will pursue their dreams.
