The second photo I would say is an early stage of seed production after the flowers have been shed. That would make them seed pods.

The next photo from 22nd April 2013, it looks like an early stage of flowering the following year but is later than the previous year..

Your first photo appears to be already in an early stage of producing seed pods but has not yet shed the flowers, the long greenish protrusion most likely drops off. I found a photo showing much the same stage along with a couple of flowers already shed, making the beginnings of a seed pod. It was from 18th November 2009, the plant must flower more than once in a year.
