I agree I agree I agree with PPal - would love to help but can't really give good answers without knowing who the roses are. Do they have names? Sometimes you'll find that they may have a little metal tag near the base of the rose. If they have names on them, then we can be a lot more definitive as to where & how to plant them. But, for the most part, I'm gonna say probably about 95% of roses need full sun (5-6 hours minimum every day). Trellises aren't necessary for most roses other than climbers, and even then they're not necessary.. you can train them to go up other things other than a trellis (trees, houses, etc). Or you can post a picture and maybe we can help define who they are that way too?
