I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database! Plant Identifier
I can't raise the area on a mound because it is actually the top edge of a drainage ditch, and slopes slightly. So therefore drought tolerance is a factor, as well as not so great soil. The plumbago is a terrific idea, I will look into that. It might work. Thanks for the suggestion.
